How the Money Works
CDs - You set the retail price for your CD and The CAN and our retail partners combined take 35%. The
following wholesale price points (this is what you will receive per sale
of an item) are suggested to ensure the retail price positions your
music competitively in the online environment.

Downloads - Pricing for download sales are set by the online retail services. The CAN manages price levels such as frontline, midline and budget. These price points map to the pricing structure of each retail service. Each retailer deal is different; there is no standard price but The CAN reviews the offer of each retailer before deciding to supply the CAN catalogue as a whole. Our policy is to ensure that reasonable pricing minimums are maintained to protect the value of the whole catalogue.
For example iTunes (US) is a definite inclusion. This retail service returns wholesale $0.70US on a download sold at retail $0.99US. For download sales The CAN (including its distribution partners) takes a commission of 30% of the wholesale price and the remaining 70% goes to the artist. For iTunes (US) this equates per track to $0.21US to the CAN and $0.49US to the artist.
Payment
Payments will be forwarded to you (or your supplier) quarterly when
